My purpose as a learning professional is to facilitate experiences that guide learners to the better versions of themselves that encourages synergistic effects in all aspects of their life.
I believe in lifelong learning
Learning is a fundamental part of life, whether we realize it or not. From picking up a new skill in Excel, or figuring out how to build furniture, or simply noticing a new road sign. We can pick up new information and do something with it every day.
Navy Veteran with a passion for learning
With over a decade of experience in the United States Nuclear Navy, creating an atmosphere of continuous growth and improvement is a crucial part of my philosophy. I have a strong passion for getting to the root of a problem in order to truly solve it, and this has served me well as a leader within the Navy training team. I intend to take the lessons I have learned from this experience into my next chapter.
Personal Philosophies
-
No matter where you are professionally or personally, someone is always looking to you as the exemplar. As such, I believe in presenting behaviors and attitudes that I expect of the people around me.
-
Do what you say, say what you mean. If one can maintain consistency in their actions, no one will ever have to question where they stand. This goes hand in hand with not only being able to say no, but also being able to ask for help when needed.
-
“We do rise to our expectations, we fall to the strength of our training” -Archilochus. This is a quote I have worked and lived by for most of my adult life. My professional experience in the United States Navy certainly solidified my position on it. We must habituate that which we wish to accomplish.

Communication is the lifeline of any relationship, personal or professional. In my experience, communication and information are oftentimes seem as interchangeable. However, I believe communication is the means by which we transmit useable information to someone else.
